Re: Anyone bets on matches?

I bet alot, but I don't take big risks: small but sure wins (I would never have/never will bet on Dokic )

My biggest win this year was thanks to Schnyder vs. Ana

Re: Anyone bets on matches?

I bet. So far only small amounts, but I would love to do large scale betting. It would require a good database and superior tennis knowledge though. Wouldn't mind teaming up with someone if anyone has the former? I have experience with similar projects in horse racing.

Pro-tip: Don't ever take TF polls as an indication of actual winning probabilities

Re: Anyone bets on matches?

I used to bet a lot. With a pattern win-lose-win-lose etc etc. but I was always in black numbers because it was also really low risk. I won the most at Wimbledon betting couple of years ago..two tickets one with three, other with 8 matches.mostly doubles. because of some rain delays I had to wait 4 days to know if I win or lose evrything, but Navratilova with someone won their mixed match and me some 40 euros

I stopped betting when Kirilenko/P.Suarez (clear doubles specialists) lost a 1R doubles match in Sydney or Auckland some years ago to complete no ones. I was so angry that I said I would never bet again. It´s been quite a while. I might start again.

Re: Anyone bets on matches?

so if I wanna re-start, what is the best place to bet at?

I used to do it the old way, in the place-office, filling out the matches on the paper.

I guess it´s done only on the net nowadays. Which one is the best? bet 365?

Re: Anyone bets on matches?

I´m still going to place-office But it´s a lot easier to have an account in internet, It happened sometimes that I missed the matches just because the office wasn´t open

Re: Anyone bets on matches?

I do, but small bets every week or so, mostly just for fun/to see how it'll go.

I definitely did bet on Lertchee, too. Nice to see she downed Brianti.

Re: Anyone bets on matches?

I did pretty well in the ATP Draw Challenge last year so decided to have a go at betting this year. I mainly do multiple bets (accumulators, fourfolds, fivefolds, etc.) with small stakes. Did quite well in the early rounds at the AO this year.

Although I put a bet on each way for Vera to win/make the final of the AO so most of my winnings were cancelled out by that
