How is Esther so good and no one else holds a candle to her in the wheelchair league?
Wonder how she'd do against some of the WTA players

I thought this was an awesome article about Vergeer hitting with men's player Aisam Qureshi - http://www.australianopen.com/en_AU/...787078352.html

So often we see the men showing disrespect to women tennis players, it was nice to see this type of article instead.

I'm not sure if there's something about the sport itself that causes the top players to be really dominant, but the #1 men's player is on a winning streak of almost 200 matches as well.

As good as Esther is though, she wouldn't be able to win games against even the lowest ranked WTA players. It's an able bodied-athlete versus a disabled athlete. There was a women's wheelchair player named Karin Korb who was ranked #11 in the world a few years ago, and she's currently registered as a 4.0 level USTA player, which is basically like an high-level intermediate/low-level advanced club tennis player.

Esther probably wouldn't have much trouble with Jelena Jankovic at present.

put the able bodied person in a wheelchair and Esther would kill them
they arent used to controlling the wheelchair as well as hitting the shot and then getting back in position.

And on the flip side if you take the wheelchair off of Esther you would get the same result...

I'm still amazed that no one can catch up to her level. Great player.

Esther needs to develop a tennis school to create more competition for herself.
