Which top players from the past played the same style as Woz/Rads?

First let me say this isn't a hate thread.

It's a genuine question for people who for sure are more familiar with players from the past than me.

I can't think of any of the top players from the past that played such predominantly defensive styles relying on opponent mistakes. They all would go for some winners.

Maybe Arantcha Sanchez-Vicario?

Coetzer is one, too.

To a certain point, Hingis can be thrown into the mix. She would have much better volleys and was more foreward oriented, but most of her winners were coming from angles and touch, similar to Radwanska for example.

Here we go, here come the Wozniacki/Radwanska to Hingis comparisons.

I don't understand why people are so horrified by such a comparison. Saying they are exactly the same player is totally stupid, but naturally such a comparison will occur.

Who do you want Caro to be compared to, Davenport?

Coetzer
ASV

They all relied on consistency like Wozniacki does.

Radwanska, maybe you can compare her with Maleeva and Farina Elia. Although she definitely uses more spin in her shots.

As CD said, there's no player who is 100% like someone else.

FLAVIA PENNETTA

Thank you for all these moments over the last years! Supported you until your final point!

Mary Joe Fernandez is the goddamn mother and role model of all pushers in the world.

If anyone invented that, it was her.

Manuela Maleeva was pretty bad to sit thru, too.

GretaArn - Naomi Osaka

and a reminiscence to the past:
HELEN KELESI FOREVER
Hater of Radwanska & Wozniacki
