Players who have played for different countries

We know:
Yaroslava Shvedova: Russia->Kazakhstan
Galina Voskoboeva: Russia->Kazakhstan
Sesil Karatantcheva: Bulgaria->Kazakhstan
Varvara Lepchenko: Uzbekistan->USA
Greta Arn: Germany->Hungary
Jarmila Groth: Slovakia->Australia
Jelena Dokic: Serbia->Australia
Anastasia Rodionova: Russia->Australia
Liezel Huber: South Africa->USA

Who else?

Daniilidou. Venus. Azarenka. Halep. Wickmayer.
Cornet. Ivanovic. Vesnina.. Vaidisova. Krajicek.
Paszek. Begu. Cirstea. Lisicki. Pavlyuchenkova.
Pironkova. Stephens. Tatishvili. McHale. Flipkens.
Grammatikopoulou ~ Papamichail ~ Sakkari
I'm obsessed with the Greek players. Deal with it.

Where is that great GM thread about a shocked Bulgarian poster who had let us know that Alina Petras has switched from Moldova to Bulgaria?

I swear Arn played for USA at some stage? Or am I imagining things?

Sunitha Rao I think it was? Or some Indian/American changed a bit.

Julia Moriarty Australia >> Ireland. But she sucks anyway.

Re: Players who have played for different countries

Australia's "favorite" Jelena Dokic represented Yugoslavia before considering Australia.

Re: Players who have played for different countries

It's nothing new in tennis, even 5 out of 20 WTA#1 players played for different countries:

Martina Navratilova TCH and USA
Steffi Graf FRG and GER
Monica Seles YUG and USA
Ana Ivanovic SCG and SRB
Jelena Jankovic SCG and SRB

and I'm not even fan of Ana Ivanovic... just an objective observer who realize how perfect she is

AMAZING BELGRADE MIRACLE: In just three years (2008-2011) 5 different players born in same city reach world #1 in rankings and several GS titles and finals (WTA singles: Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic, ATP singles: Novak Djokovic, ATP doubles: Nenad Zimonjic and Daniel Nestor... with notable performances of Bojana Jovanovski, Janko Tipsarevic and Viktor Troicki which is also all three born in Belgrade)

Not only Alina Petras, but also Anastasia Stepu.
I don't remember such GM thread but I suppose it was about those two Moldovans (playing for Bulgaria) reaching the finals of the National Championships here in Bulgaria.
