Seriously, who's not sick of Kim winning tournaments

I like her and all but she has just been winning quite some lately out of default.

Yes, it annoys me that a mediocre baseliner like Kim is succeeding thanks to a weak era.

Yeah, I somewhat feel that way, but maybe she won't make it to the final or she'll encounter someone interesting in the final (please do not let it be Woz!).

No guarantees. I'd like to see either Venus or someone new win. That's all I ask tennis gods.

It's times like these when I'd rather see Justine dominating again ala 2007.

Re: Seriously, who's not sick of Kim winning tournaments

I'll say it once, and I'll say it again. Clijsters wins because the competition for her is exceedingly weak and fresh faces refuse to step up to the plate and knock her off her undeserved podium. Clijsters doesn't win, her opponents more often than not lose. And it's even more embarassing because she doesn't play for months on end during the year and comes back and dominates, despite being rusty and her serve having the yips.

Na can hardly even handle the pressure of playing an inexperienced 19 year old in the Semi-finals. She will no doubt crumble under her nerves in the final and hand Kim the win. I would be very surprised if she won.

Re: Seriously, who's not sick of Kim winning tournaments

It's threads like these that give Kim a negative image.

Really, the question should be rephrased. Who's not sick of the WTA failing to keep up with a once-retired mother of a 2 year old?

More credit to her. Seriously.

Yep, you could also say that

Then what can she do to "deserve" the podium? Obviously we'd love to see her have to actually fight to win all these accolades but maybe you should consider directing your frustration towards the players who actually are making it easier for her.
