I have a feeling Stosur will bow out in R1

Stay away.

I would say I would prefer to see the draw before making any such predictions.

Re: 'suprise' early round exits.

R1 loss in Sydney = R1 loss at the AO.. I don't think so. Different kinda early draws at the slams. It will depend..

Maria Kirilenko & Agnieszka Radwanska ♕
You're wrong, I'm right, I'm smart, you're dumb.

How dare people disrespect "The Empress" by mentioning her name in a thread like this! Lady Jaja is making AO finals this year, bet your house on it!

How would those be surprising?

I'll go with Kirilenko, Wozniacki (if she doesn't switch back to her old racket). Venus, Jelena, Sam all possibilities.

EDIT: Almost forgot about Sharapova. She'll be lucky to win a round or two, with the current form she's in...

Re: 'suprise' early round exits.

Kuznetsova could lose to anyone, but it won´t be a surprise... Ivanovic can lose because of injury, and Jankovic losing won´t be a surprise at all...

ITF: “She is the sole author of her own misfortune.”

Re: 'suprise' early round exits.

I will say: Jankovic, Safarova, Kanepi.

kirilenko won't exit round 1 she didn't play bad against cibulkova, cibi played too good. Kirilenko was also coming into this match with good wins over rezai and oudin, so that says something positive as well

I would like to say Venus but that is hardly surprising nowdays.

Rena- a tennis great! 22 at striking distance.

Jankovic going out early wouldn't be a surprise tbh.

Re: 'suprise' early round exits.

I think the only 'surprise' would be Kim.
I expect a lot of names to lose early next week.
That's going to be a wild week 1.

No more than 2 seeds will go out in the 1r.
