Think I'm giving up online world tour. I'd love to have won a Grand Slam, but it's so hard to find people playing now. I got to 2 finals, most recently at Wimbledon, saving match points in super TB in previous round so I counted myself lucky...only to get beaten again in the final.
My player is defensive and good at backhand and drop shots, but I really struggle against all these power whores. I have beaten plenty of players with 100 power etc, using skill I guess and patience, but it just becomes tiring...I refuse to change my coach, and have maxed out my skills so can't get stronger (no coach change could make me more powerful)
I've had many memorable matches and rivals, especially this person who played as 'Ivanovic'. She crushed me in our first match, but in our second I somehow scraped the first set in a tiebreak, lost the second, and came from about 3-8 down to level in super TB and still lost.
It is these types of players I more often than not can't beat in tight matches as all they have to do is flick a button and send the ball flying past. The satisfaction of dismantling power players is great, but it has become a bother now. Also sometimes my opponent loses connection, and I get a loss for this? So annoying.
Anyway, my win loss is now something like 70-55 I think, it used to be better but nowadays I just can't seem to win a match when it counts. I recently got to SF of Australian Open, but lost minor tournaments all in 1r.
I personally think there should be a limit on 'power' to make it fairer...but not even sure I will go back to this. I would love to finally see a new tennis game with a decent career mode (haven't seen one since Smash Court pro tournament 2) and then be happy
