the injury was not obvious. her footwrok was a bit clumsy as usualy, but it really did not look like anything was wrong i.e. she did not fall or appear to stumble. besides, she moved better in the second set, after the injury, than at any time before the sprain or whatever.
basically, when youre being crushed 6-0 1-0, one way of snapping your opponents' rhythm is either through improved play yourself, a bathroom break or an injury time out. or pray that your opponents' game goes off. there was no indication that jen was improving, that Conchita was weakening, and there was no bathroom break. just a slightly suspect injury that occurred on a point that Capriati won, and on a point where there was obvious sign of any stumble or imbalance.
You have long been my goal, been my chasing, been my soul. I have hung out on the edge. But I just couldn't let go. There's a time to forgive. There's a time to forget. Close your eyes, get ready, set. Walk me down this fall I'm taking but don't let me go yet. Oh let me go, sweetheart, throw me, around you, like you know me. And remember me too. Remember me too from a dream i had of you. Mary Margaret O'Hara | Dream I Had | Apartment Hunting | 2002.
