Marlene has not beaten Monica, it was Monica who gave her a 6-0 6-0 at Wimbledon 99. Then Steffi gave her a 6-0 6-1 at the Usopen 98 as well

Also Maria Vento gave her a 5-7 6-0 6-0 defeat in 99, Smashnova a 6-0 6-0 too IMAO!!!

Weingartner is such odd player. Early this year, she was on a roll, taking Mauresmo to three in the 4th at the Aussie. She had solid results. I guess she is like most players, inconsistent

Marlene had a back injury most of the year that caused her inconsistency. She never rested but played in spite of the injury.

Marlene sacked her coach (Joe Giuliano) after the AUS Open and she's gone backwards since.

she's not good on fast courts anyway and with NO Confidence this result is hardly suprisng.

Good luck to my favs

Wasn't Weingartner the one who was double-bagelled by Kournikova in the 1st round of AO'00 and then was double-bagelled again i the 1st round of FO'00?.

german TV said once she never has a coach longer then few month or so. it is cause her dad has to much influence on her, and then the coach has no chance.

not my WTA-Tour anymore
