Is there a player you dislike and don't know why?

For some reason, I *LOVE* it when Lisa Raymond loses. It makes my day. Any loss will do, singles or doubles, though I take greater pleasure in a singles loss. But I cannot figure out why I dislike her so much. I have seen her play and I cannot point to anything I dislike in particular about her. She seems nice, she does not trash talk or do anything annoying. I have no problems with her game, I mean, she *seems* nice, I *should* have nothing against her. But when I see she has lost, it makes my day, it really does. When I saw she lost to Myskina, I was *loving* it.

Everyone has their favorites and ones they do not like, but usually people have reasons for not liking a player. Does anyone dislike a player and does not know why?

Mine used to be Nathalie Tauziat. Now, I think it's Schiavone, but I think she's pretty foul anyways, so I guess there is a reason for her.

I'll name two - Venus and Lil Kim' I mean Serena. No it's not a black thing don't care what all their annoying fans say. I don't like other players who aren't black --- lordy lord lord lord

Davenport is another(I always end up rooting against her unless if she plays the W/S, of course)

Conchi Martinez (didn't like her then and don't like her now, except if she plays the W/S, of course)

SUPERCONDUCTOR Anna K. -- Just Win Baby!

Watch her every move. She can manipulate reactions. Fantasy for Sale..that's entertainment! - Neil Peart

Anastasia Myskina.

I have no idea why. She seems to be a great and nice player, but I just don't like her. Well, I don't know what else to say.

I don't see how you can like or dislike someone you don't know. If someone could please explain because this thread does not make any sense to me.

I get the same feeling about Lindsay, that she is not all sugar and spice/peaches and cream/little miss innocent either, but I like her. That does not bother me that she might have an image that is nicer than the real woman. I do not think she is the first.

Actually, I like Lisa, but, I really love it when she loses. I would never root for her to lose, and if for some reason, she makes a slam final in singles or something and wins, I would be happy for her. But, MAN, I love it when she loses! She is really the only player where I get positive feelings from a loss.

I think the concept that Helen is trying to convey is that she CANNOT explain it to you apoet. It's mostly based on a vibe or a feeling that you get about a player. Maybe something in their body language?

I have a friend on the board who loves Lindsay and since I don't dislike Lindsay I did not want her to get that idea.

You are funny Helen. I like that you are honest. Rare on this board.

Maybe, Treufreund, but the body language someone conveys is not necessarily true of what kind of personality he or she is. If that makes any sense, I don't know. Personally, I feel that you should look at the whole package of a person before deciding whether or not you should dislike him or her. A sports figure or celebrity is not someone fans can ever truly know so why say that you dislike them? You may not agree with certain decisions they make, but that should hardly be the case for disliking someone.

I'm going to shut up because I am rambling now. Maybe I feel that dislike is too strong a word for what Helen is describing.

So your from Louisville, Treu, my grandparents live there and I'm going there this weekend. Any cool stuff to do while I am in town?

WOW! Apoet29, it's cool that you are coming here. Send me an email and I will try to give you some info. What kind of thing do you want to do in Louisville?

Jen Capriati and Amelie Mauresmo.
I have a ton of respect for their skills and all but I wouldnt root for them even if my faves are retired and gone.
