i just saw a player with the weirdest tennis technique!!!

Over the weekend here in sydney, i was a linesman at a local tournament, (I'm a linesman with Tennis Umpires Australia), and i did a match that involved a player with a very weird style!

This girl had no backhand....if the ball was on her right side, she would hit a right-handed forehand ....if it was on her left side, she would swap hands and hit a left-handed forehand....i'm suprised she doesn't drop the racket during points swapping hands so much! lol

BUt it doesn't stop there!!!!

She even served with different hands!!!!!
If she was on the deuce side, she would serve right-handed.....if she was on the ad-side, she would serve left-handed!

It was the most unbelievable thing i had ever seen!

And there was also a guy who had a double-handed forehand but a single-handed backhand, which i thought was rather amusing! lol....and he sliced the backhand most of the time....so a slice backhand, but double handed power forehand! LOL

Just thought i'd share

i was thining on joining the tour with a two-handed forehand and a one-handed backhand just for a laugh and to reinvent the game but i decided it would just be to humiliating for me besides i'm much better with one-handers off each wing.

also KOULIKOVSKAYA ranked 109 in the world swaps her racket between shots. she also has two forehands

Go the aussies! stosur!!!
and good luck russians: dementieva, safina, kirilenko, sharapova, kuznetsova, bovina, zvonareva, dushevina.

also good luck to: azarenka, lucic, sprem, vakulenko, vaidisova, safarova, ivanovic, groenefeld, mirza, krajicek, kvitkova, larcher de brito, lisicki.

does koulikovskaya serve with both hands though? the no-backhand thing wasn't that bad, but serving with both hands really blew me away! lol

actually, CiCi, both were the losing finalists in their division.

The girl lost in the 14's girls final in 3 tough sets, and the boy lost in the 14's boys final after winning his SF 6-0 6-0

So, they do actually play VERY well with their weird styles lol I was VERY impressed! hehe

LMAO i thought tennis is popular enough to teach these players to play basic tennis.

a player who could serve two handed would certainly top these players.

"When I was four years old, we moved from England to USA, when my mother found out that I won't be KING!" -- Bob Hope--

Madame Oracene Williams could certainly teach the French & Belgian crowds on how to upgrade their respective primitive behaviours during a tennis match.

sorry but I pity these type of players. I always go for BasicTennis.

Martina Hingis does it sometimes but very rarely, when she's got no time left to hit a decent backhand

A man may fight for many things. His country, his friends, his principles, the glistening ear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally, I'd mud-wrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a sack of French porn.
