When Nadal stopping winning Slams for a 1 1/2 years, he dropped out of the nation's collective consciousness. Now that he's started to win again, it will take a year for regular sports fans to realize that

Did tennis players win all the awards they were nominated for?

They did pretty well anyway !

My number one: Victoria Azarenka

ATP: Novak Djoković

Crazy Frenchies! Gilles Simon Alizé Cornet

This years awards show was really wack IMO! Like nobody really was there. Usually EVERYONE is there, Lebron , Kobe, Serena. This year it was like the Saints team, damn near every person who was in the Winter Olympics and Derek Fisher

So 11 hour mugfest between two clowns with no return of serve or ground game somehow deserves and award, while Nadal's second Channel Slam doesn't. Now I know these awards are useless.

The funniest is Landon Donovan winning best performance under pressure So he happened to be at the right place at the right time to score a goal in the last minute of a groupe stage match. Wow!

Compare that to a golfer on the last hole of a major championship or Lindsay Vonn in the starting gate of the olympics downhill...

I once read somewhere that the ESPY's count until about april or so, so Nadal's performance will count for next years awards unless he is upstaged by Usain Bolt or someother equally dominant athlete.

Rena- a tennis great! 22 at striking distance.
