If I ran the 'Open Era' Hall of Fame ...

... there'd only be seven players in it based on their SINGLES accomplishments.

What about you? Are you a proponent of the 'big' hall of fame or the small? How many players, open era only, would you put in the Hall of Fame based SOLELY on singles play?

I would put all players in who won more then 3 grand slams!

You have to include doubles play. If they decided not to include doubles play then it would be a sham, and they might as well just call it The Tennis Singles Players Hall Of Fame.

no idea edberg retired earlier as the jerk and still the jerk was choosen first.

guess you have to stay in the spotlight!

steffi's chances are also not good, she is not american, she never gives interviews and she never has scandales

only andre is a reason why she would rightfully be put in in 2004!

I am afraid serena will be put in together with venus

since many have a problem to see them as individuals

15-25, if we are including the men.

You have to answer for Santino, Carlo.

1) Since I'm basing it on their singles accomplishments, feel free to think of it as the Tennis SINGLES players Hall of Fame.

2) No guys. No way could I keep it to 7 if I include the guys.

3) As of right now Venus, Serena, Jenn, Martina H, Lindsay, Mary and Arantxa all DON'T get into my Hall.

Hmmm maybe 'Hall of Fame' isn't the best name. Maybe 'Elite Pantheon of Players More Incredible than Anyone Else'.

Obviously your Hall requires 6 Slams or more then, and thus its pretty obvious who your 7 players are. A good argument, particularly when you consider there have been a huge mess of players who won either 3 or 4 Slams, most of them active. The best of the active players will reach those higher numbers.

You have to answer for Santino, Carlo.

I'd put Venus and Serena in there for the simple fact they sisters that were able to get to 1&2, Martina H maybe. But if it were Elite Pantheon of Players More Incredible than Anyone Else i'd put

1. Monica Seles
2. Steffi Graf
3. Martina Navratilova
4. Chris Evert
5. Margret Court
6. Ivan Lendl
7. John MacEnroe
8. Pete Sampras
9. Andre Agassi
10. Bjorn Borg
