Bold mistake of Wimbledon 2010 WTA final day schedule

Wimbledon 2010 organizers decision to schedule womans final just one hour before FIFA World Cup QF showdown between Argentina and Germany is against common sense IMO.

Instead to put start of this match hour before in 13:00h (14:00h CET), or even for example in 17:30 (18:30 CET) b/c with roof no chances for rain delay on centre court... they put start of Wimbledon WTA final in 14:00 (15:00 CET) just one hour (45 minutes actually if we count warm-ups) before FIFA WC biggest QF showdown

and I'm not even fan of Ana Ivanovic... just an objective observer who realize how perfect she is

AMAZING BELGRADE MIRACLE: In just three years (2008-2011) 5 different players born in same city reach world #1 in rankings and several GS titles and finals (WTA singles: Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic, ATP singles: Novak Djokovic, ATP doubles: Nenad Zimonjic and Daniel Nestor... with notable performances of Bojana Jovanovski, Janko Tipsarevic and Viktor Troicki which is also all three born in Belgrade)

Once every 4 years isn't that bad.

And this final won't last that long....

Vera can watch football after this final and before her doubles final.

The most wasted of all days is one without laughter....
Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there
Enjoy This Moment!!
HEALTH and HAPPINESS to EVERYONE

Time of the Wimbledon final should not be dictated by boring soccer...

I know they won't ever do it, but I reckon they should consider having primetime finals now there is no threat of rain spoiling play.

I'd say Holland v Brazil was a bigger QF showdown but yeah, Wimbledon comes 2nd to the WC regardless.

We... but what about average SPORTS FANS which are not biggest WTA fans, but like to see Wimbledons final. They miss whole 2nd set and Serena celebration/speech.

Simple stupid/wrong decision from my point of view
In last 2 seasons Wimbledon finally make Hawk Eye and CC roof, so changing just one hour of final schedule in exceptional 2010 case will not be big movement against tradition, but very good move in terms of common sense.

It's always 2pm, why should they change it for a football match?
