New tournament: Washington

Apparently to be held the same week as Stanford next year. I guess they brought the tournament off Ponte Vedra Beach and it makes sense being this week as there will be no tournament in Istanbul next year as they host the YEC.

Re: New tournament: Washington

Is there a tournament replacing PVB? Or has the green clay season become a one horse race?

Re: New tournament: Washington

Eh? Would it be better if it held the same week with, let's say, Cincinnati or Canada. It would be stupid to go to the east coast for one week and then go to the other coast.

Re: New tournament: Washington

any new tournament is a good thing right now, as with the economical way the world is, getting sponsors for tournaments is not easy.

I think it will be indoors. Carpet or hard courts, I don't know.

This is replacing PVB so only one green clay tournament left .

Why wouldn't they put this before Stanford then players can use this International as a warm-up for the US Open Series, like Cincinnati used to be. Then they could either add a European International or just shift the last few forward a week.

My number one: Victoria Azarenka

ATP: Novak Djoković

Crazy Frenchies! Gilles Simon Aliz Cornet
