Grass helps Maria the most against Serena?

Looking at today's result, and what happened in 2004, do you think so?

Maria hits hard and flat, and the surface accentuates that. Her big serve, though not as big as Serena's, gets some extra juice too. The points also end quicker so she doesn't have to get into as many extended baseline rallies with Serena (since Maria isn't as good of a mover).

Thoughts?

Maria just had nothing to lose in either match, she was an underdog in both. So she felt no pressure. But grass is probably the surface she could challenge Serena the most.
