The Grass Court Season

I wish it could be a bit longer.

I woudn't mind seeing something like this for the French to Wimby season.

2)FRENCH OPEN & ITF 25/50k in UK on grass during 2nd week of FO - Manchester??
3)Nottingham (International - Grass/64) & Benelux (International - Clay/32)
4)Eastbourne (Premier/64) (Mixed event) <maybe plus 25 or 50k clay event on the continent>
5)Birmingham (International - Grass/32 & Rosmalen (International - Grass/32) <plus Wimby quals>

Still only five weeks of grass court play, but....

Chance for the top women to play Eastbourne with a week off after the French and before Wimby. The others could play a maximum of three tournies between RG and Wimby. Those who hate grass could still play a clay-courter or two.

What do you think??

What "Benelux"? Bring Halle to WTA. Love that venue!

Ugh, was watching some Halle yesterday, its so refreshing to be off clay.

"I think if people ask, How is Marion Bartoli? They will always respond, She's a nice person. That's what I'm most proud of..

Re: The Grass Court Season

I like the idea, but having two international's just before Wimbledon is going to mean some serious tanking to get to Wimbledon qualies.

Which could equal qualy draws littered with Brit's ranked 500-1000
