Re: The best classic rivals in history of Tennis?

Nothing as great as Navratilova - Evert
After that, it should be Graf - Seles (pre-stabbing), Hingis - Venus, Serena - Capriati, Hingis - Davenport, and Graf - ASV.

Venus, THE QUEEN
Serena THE WARRIOR
Miss you Monica Wynne Angie Anna Chakvy Marion Li Na
Good luck: Svetlana Simona

Nobody even comes close to Navratilova-Evert.

I'd go along with that list too.

Tennis history didn't start in the late 1980s. Kthxbye.

Re: The best classic rivals in history of Tennis?

WTF is Mauresmo vs Justine doing in that list?

Graf vs Sánchez Vicario was a much better one, even bigger than Sabatini vs Graf...

Re: The best classic rivals in history of Tennis?

Of course it's Navratilova vs. Evert but I had to vote for Hingis vs Williams as that rivalry encapsulates so many of my favorite matches...for ME:

1. Hingis/Williams
2. Navratilova/Evert
3. Hingis/Davenport
4. Graf/Seles
5. Graf/Navratilova

Venus Masha Caro Sloane
Timea Aga Petra Vika Kristyna&Karo Keys Carina
Osaka Bencic Sveta Simona Broady Vinci CiCi Mladenovic Garcia JJ Errani Duval

Martina Hingis Forever!!!

Obviously, some of the choices are jokes because it's April Fool's Day.

Some people even appear to be voting for them in the spirit of the event.

And where is Whitehead # Bye option??? It's April 1st for Christ's sake...

and I'm not even fan of Ana Ivanovic... just an objective observer who realize how perfect she is

AMAZING BELGRADE MIRACLE: In just three years (2008-2011) 5 different players born in same city reach world #1 in rankings and several GS titles and finals (WTA singles: Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic, ATP singles: Novak Djokovic, ATP doubles: Nenad Zimonjic and Daniel Nestor... with notable performances of Bojana Jovanovski, Janko Tipsarevic and Viktor Troicki which is also all three born in Belgrade)

Re: The best classic rivals in history of Tennis?

OP you fail.

Why did you put 'Hingis v William Sisters'? Just because of a couple (literally two) comments Hingis and Serena exchanged in a press conference in the early nineties?

Venus has a rivalry with Hingis, Serena does not. Get it right. Look at their head-to-heads. Rivalries aren't made in a press conference when you're urged on by hungry journalists, it's about the tennis. Venus has played Hingis over twenty times and the difference in their H2H is one match. Now that is a rivalry. Serena was a good match-up against Hingis she had her number their whole career. That is not a rivalry.

You also forgot Venus - Davenport. They've also played eachother over twenty times including GS finals (including 05 Wimbledon).

Also, the Henin - Serena rivalry is so overrated it's not even funny. Serena needs to figure out a way to beat in-form Henin otherwise

Queen Venus Williams Wisest, most experienced, respected, gracious and most intimidating player on the tour Veelieve!

The One and Only Queen

Most tennis players are girls, because they act like girls, they play like girls, and they have child-like attitudes like girls. Venus, on the other hand, does the exact opposite. She is in control of her emotions. She's graceful, gracious, strong, and fierce. She controls her own destiny. She has a business and a degree. She won't be left with just tennis memories once she calls it a day on the court.

Most tennis females are girls. Venus is a WOMAN.
