Didn't Venus seem...

A little more... "enthused" shall we say about Serena's win - Serena's "prevent-Justine-from-passin'-my-sister-in-slams" win?

Kind of a victory for Vee too, huh.

Ah, no, I think she was just anxious for Serena to do well. Venus is a giver.

Re: Didn't Venus seem...

I'm sorry, Vee, but it disturbs me how soooo much better Serena is than you. I know you are proud of her winning, but I would feel so odd knowing my sister is on another level compared to me.

Serena - 22 Grand Slam Titles -- 71 Singles Titles -- World Rank: #1 | 2016 Record - (31-4) 89%
Venus - 7 Grand Slam Titles -- 49 Singles Titles -- World Rank: #6 | 2016 Record - (21-9) 70%

Re: Didn't Venus seem...

Serena is on another level than most players. Serena is such a champion, her fight is truly unparalleled.

Venus Williams - 7 Time Major Champion

Re: Didn't Venus seem...

I don't know the reason, but yes....Venus was more excited than usual.

The Williams Sisters

It's great to be a fan of the two most talented women in tennis.

Only IDIOTS count out the Williams sisters!!!
Serena: 13 Slams, ranked: #1
Venus: 7 Slams, ranked: #2

Venus is always really happy when her sister win, you can see how proud she is of Serena...But I think Serena was really happy to not let Henin passin her sister.

Re: Didn't Venus seem...

Venus is not a bad player. At least she is among the many people who
have won multiple grandslams
Graf 21
Serena 12
Seles 9
Venus 7
Henin 7
Hingis 5
Sanchez 4
Jeni 3
Amelia 3
Davenp 3
Who knows she may win her favourite tournament this year again.

Venus is always happy for Serena.

The only time Venus looked sad when Serena was in
a final that she was not also in was 99' USO.

Oh quit whining. You're taking this WAAAAY too serious. I was having fun. Shit, J, reel it in a bit.

I think BOTH Venus and Serena were very conscious of what a Justine victory would have done to her slam count. I agree with the poster who said Serena, I'm sure, wanted to prevent Justine from winning damn near as much for Vee as for herself.

And is it soooo inconceivable that Venus would be happy about that????!! I don't think it tarnishes the integrity of Saint Vee.

Some of you Veelievers are waaaay too touchy.
