How many foot faults have been called this fortnight?

I can't recall any. In fact, there have been times where I could visibly see feet crossing the service line, without any call. Is the AO always this lax with foot faults?

Unless you have served as a linesperson at the tournament, or have had exclusive, unlimited access to a camera angled directly level with the service line, you cannot say for sure whether a foot crossed the line or not.

But anyway - I recall atleast a few. I remember Wickmayer got called for one in her match against Henin. I remember there being others, but I can't recall which matches.

Really? If a foot is a foot inside the court, you can't tell that it has in fact crossed the line?

Can't recall any? Funny, there was a foot fault called in the most recent singles match played... guess you're not paying attention

As the Serena incident showed, it's impossible to tell unless you have a direct view of it. Unless it's literally about 5 inches over the line, which would never happen without it being called.

What a pathetic match from him... I freaking hate Fed AND Murray, worst final ever, I hope the loser cries </off-topic rant>

Agreed - at least about Murray.

Anyway, yeah, one foot fault that I saw. on Tsonga, but that was so egregious, you could have seen it from outer space.

For you, maybe.. but most tennis fans look forward to a final between the two best players in the field.

I always wanted to be somebody. If I made it, it's half because I was game enough to take a lot of punishment along the way and half because there were a lot of people who cared enough to help me.

I'm sorry. I feel your pain. I wanted a Tsonga/Cilic final

Career Grand Slam in your 20s? Been there done that. Career golden slam your 30s?
There's only 1.
Serena.

I wonder how people can look up to an arrogant, entitled, spoiled man such as Federer. Tennis aside -- he is the most childish of champions. I'm sure I don't need to list examples.

(This is also why I am forever indebted to Nadal, although not his fan -- he put a big fat asterik next to Federer's accomplishments)

Murray, I cannot say much about other than I think he looks like an unwashed hairy asshole So ... ugly lol. Shallow, I know...
.

(But believe me when I say Tsonga could hit it!)

Re: How many foot faults have been called this fortnight?

well, I stated at the US Open even before the Serena incident that the footfault calls were crazy cause you hardly ever hear them... but they were all over the place that tournament. Anyways, those saying they have seen some foot faults that arent called not likely.... you hardly ever see the persons feet when they are serving and since you can cross the line as soon as the ball is struck it'd really be impossible to tell on tv.

Serena Williams

None have called because that Asian lineswoman who almost ended up with a "fucking ball down her throat" wasn´t at Serena/Venus matches I guess!
