Vera Zvonareva having arthroscopic ankle surgery

World number nine Vera Zvonareva will undergo minor right ankle surgery on Wednesday in Rotterdam.
The Beijing Olympic bronze medalist expects to be back on court in four to five weeks.
Zvonareva’s arthroscopic surgery to remove scar tissue will be performed by Dr. Niek van Dijk, the head of the Orthopaedic Department of the AMC-hospital (Academical Medical Centre Amsterdam, University of Amsterdam) and full professor in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Amsterdam.
She is expected to remain in The Netherlands for two weeks for extensive rehabilitation.

The most wasted of all days is one without laughter....
Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there
Enjoy This Moment!!
HEALTH and HAPPINESS to EVERYONE

Hope she comes back strong, she needs to after her start last year with all those points.

Re: Vera Zvonareva having arthroscopic ankle surgery

I just knew something like this was coming. Poor Vera has been suffering with this ankle for months now and she is finally taking care of it like she should. I do hope she doesn't rush back and finally allows it to fully heal. She has been tentative and obviously somewhat afraid of re-injuring it. Maybe now with the scare tissue removed (which was most likely the source of the lingering pain) she can have full faith and trust in her ankle and play free and to the best of her abilities.

Get well soon Vera.

Proud Blackjack!

She confirmed that her comeback was to early. I hope she makes this error not again.

You also have very good doctors in Deurne ( Antwerpen ) for this but hey ! As long she get well soon and heal her injury for good, come back fresh and fully recharged for next season but NO rush : that's all I wish for her. Vera

Good luck to Vera.

A benefit to Roadmap is finally showing a positive effect by having a long offseason for players to get healthy.

Why didn't she just go to the US to have surgery?
