Serena can make a statement....

Be the true #1, win AO, W, and YEC, 3 big titles. I honestly think she just doesn't care about the rest of the events at this point in her career, she did in her younger years, but now that she's 28 she cares only about the big events.

Re: Serena can make a statement....

Read her book : even in 2007 she said she only cares about the slams "and a couple of tier I events" (meaning Miami and YEC I guess).

Re: Serena can make a statement....

Serena plays for herself, not for TennisForum. Don't like her schedule? Don't follow her results. Which shouldn't be too hard since you all say she barely plays and tanks.

And if your life were gold, how long do you think you'd stay living?

There's a big difference between visiting a site and following a sport as a pastime and grinding down your body year round on the tour.

If you ended up bruised, sore, and tired every time you visited this site, how often would you come here?

Re: Serena can make a statement....

It would also pretty much rule out a ITF ban. Banning defending AO and Wimbledon champ, number one, and YEC champ from a big event? Preposterous.

Re: Serena can make a statement....

She always has been like that. It's a testament to how good she is! I mean she doesn't play that often but has won EVERYTHING there's to win..it's just amazing.

Always bet on black!
Can you handle the truth?
The truth:
Serena Williams: Greatest African-American tennisplayer in history

Winning would certainly put an exclamation point to her YE#1.
