Re: TOP 18&U prospects from your country

Nastja Kolar (15.7.1994)
Her highest rank was 881 a year ago - when she was only 14! I`m not sure what she`s been doing recently ... but I hope she will break through ...
I think she was QF in Junior Slam (don`t remember exactly).

Polona Hercog (20.1.1991)
Wins over Klejbanova, Vinci, Petkovic, Cohen-Aloro, Zakopalova, Pin, Camerin, Gallovits ...
Currently ranked 70th which is her highest rank in her career.

Jelena Dementjeva
Marion Bartoli
Patty Schnyder

Majerič, Hercog, Rampre, ...
Šarapova, Kerber, Kirilenko, Makarova, Robson, Pavljučenkova, Svitolina, Vekić, Putinceva, ...

Re: TOP 18&U prospects from your country

The only real prospects for the UK are Laura Robson and Heather Watson... both Wimbledon and US Open Junior champions at some time in their career respectively. And they are both way under 18. So fingers crossed for the future. (There isn't really any other realistic hope for British women's tennis unless some younger girls start producing good results in the next few years.)

“I’m not the next anyone. I’m the first Maria Sharapova...”
Australian Open Champion 2008 - French Open Champion 2012 & 2014
Wimbledon Champion 2004 - US Open Champion 2006
YEC Champion 2004 - London 2012 Olympics Silver Medalist

We used to have Gorgodze who was really good when I saw her on 2006, she was so good for 14! But it seems she's gained nothing but weight since then...

Oh, c'mon. Giorgi is very good! I've seen her play in Katowice where she won and I'm impressed.
