The only way is through the ballot but i'm sure thats only open to people living in the UK, i may be wrong though.

Otherwise you'll have to queue up pon the day to get tickets

its not complicated, they only do this cos people would buy them up and them sell them on Ebay.

Aus open tickets, no one wants them, same for RG or US Open
Wimbledon tickets are like Gold...........

but most people who go there have little or zero tennis knowledge

Good luck to my favs

Re: How to buy tickets for Wimbledon 2010? any advice ?

Is the only way to get multiple tickets is to queing? I just recieved the application form and if I win I can only get one ticket for one day for one court. I'm not spending hundreds of punds on plane and hotel for one ticket. And queing sounds too time consuming and risky.

Re: How to buy tickets for Wimbledon 2010? any advice ?

I queued for tickets both this year and last year, and it's so much fun! You meet people from all over the place, and the time flies! If you join the queue early, you get in early. It only took about 2-3 hours this year, was about 4 last year. They have everything you need in the queue, food, tea/coffee, newspapers, toilets (which are impeccably clean) and friendly stewards to talk to! It's so worth it!!

OH. MY. GOD. I just read through those instructions. Are they friggin serious!?! If anyone ever tried a system like that in the US, not only would no one buy tickets, but there would most likely be angry riots outside of the tournament gates. I mean seriously, people staying overnight in tents just to get tickets!?! There would be total chaos. It would be like Woodstock '99 or something. There would be people turning over cars and starting fires. I can't imagine how anyone could put up with a system like that. Everyone in the UK should just boycott the tournament until they change it. I mean seriously, that is absolutely INSANE

PS - If there's seriously so much of a demand that they need to put a system like that in place, they should just increase the amount of seating and/or increase the ticket prices. Wouldn't that solution be a lot more logical and reasonable?

in britain tennis is seen as a sport for the rich and privaliged people and they are trying to appeal tennis to the masses now so by bumping up ticket prices they would be once again promoting tennis as a sport for the higher class of people and ordinary peeps wont be able to afford it!

Brits are well organized - it's not their fault that in the USA people are unable to behave like human race

tbh I find queue quite boring nothing interesting - just 2+ hours of waiting...
