I'd feel happy she healed her injury and laugh at all her haters

I would be happy

It's the reason I have to give a damn about the overrated year ending championships

She could have stayed on the court and hit a few weak shots, but what's the difference?
Once she was sure the match was over, it's no big deal.
Maybe a big deal in the AO final, but not here.

I think she'll be fine, and don't see ANYTHING wrong with what she did.

Retiring when you are down 5-0 is way worse - you deprive your opponent of a fair victory. In this case, Caro could have probably played on and won...but would most likely have retired in her next match to rest up for Doha. This way she gives Anne another match in front of her homecrowd, so I don't see why its such a big deal.

That being said, Caro shouldn't have played this week or last week - PERIOD. But this match itself doesn't bother me, I think its actually kind of nice.

She let the other player move on. Better than giving the next opponent a walkover.
Just an awkward way to do it.

Jelena Jankovic did that a number of times, say that she had a "career threatening" injury time and time again... so it´s not going to be a surprise if she reaches semis in Doha

Also she´ll have more than a week of rest, she´ll be close to 100% in Qatar

I'd think that she still plays the same dead boring tennis she has played ever since and will still wonder how she could make it to the top of the rankings with that.

Eugenie Bouchard - Naomi Osaka

and a reminiscence to the past:
HELEN KELESI FOREVER
Hater of Ratwanska & Wozniacki

At this point nothing she does would surprise me. She has some people wrapped around their fingers, especially the men. I will just root against her in her future matches beginning with her next match.

Well she did miraculously heal herself after she was on her death bed 3 something weeks ago. I am sure she will do it again, afterall YEC needs a punch bag.
