Hannah Storm

For whatever reason, she is getting on my nerves.
Maybe its because she knows next to nothing about tennis?

Maria Kirilenko Petra Kvitová Stefanie Vögele
Arvidsson A. Bondarenko Chakvetadze Cirstea Görges Hlaváčková
Kerber Krajicek Larričre Lisicki Pivovarova Rus Šafářová

Check out Stefanie Vögele's facebook fanpage!

Re: Hannah Storm

no she was awful, misread the second set Wickmayer-Bondarenko entirely.
it was always Bondarenko this and that while you could really feel that only a couple of big mishits by Yanina gave
Bondarenko the advantage.

I thought storm was carillo btw

Re: Hannah Storm

She's annoying me because she knows nothing about tennis that she didn't learn in the week before the tournament and then she spouts at length what she learned in the week. Meanwhile the so-called tennis experts are sitting beside her, looking at her, mouth open, waiting for her to finish her paragraph-long spouting of the obvious. Furthermore, they quit showing the match in order to have her go over stuff that we definitely could have waited to here. We missed three games of Wickmayer/Bondarenko because her hyping of Oudin wasn't enough. Also, her voice grates--still her voice is slightly less grating than Tracy Austin. Why they need her, I do not understand. Also, why blather on and on when there is actually tennis going on? A quarterfinal for crissakes!

I think she is fine. She brings something different and new; she's also professional and has a strong speaking voice. Most importantly though, she isn't rude, mean, overwhelmingly biased, brash, and doesn't confidently say wrong information (at least not yet)

Re: Hannah Storm

She does make up words like "dispassed" but I'm not that bothered by her.

I was more bothered by Pam during the match, who did not care to do any research about the match. She openly admitted to having never seen Yanina play (why don't you do some research online research then, Pam? Or potentially follow the people you have to cover...) and clearly knew nothing about her game or her style ("I don't know if she has a temper problem") and everything she knew about her was because Jill Craybas filled her in that morning.

Hannah's OK but I hate it when she tries to treat the Open like she's Mary Hart and the Open is supposed to scandalous.

Re: Hannah Storm

She is one of those general assignment people on american TV.
They don't have to know anything in the sport they are covering, they just need to have a good personality to keep things light on the set.

Having said that, I prefer her to Mary Carillo.
At least she is not denigrating the sport she is covering.

Re: Hannah Storm

She is terrible. Doesn't know what she's talking about or how to say on of the players' names. Apparently Melanie Oh-din def. Nadia Pet-rahva.

Serena Williams ~ Maria Sharapova ~ Venus Williams ~ Jelena Dokic ~ Melanie Oudin ~ Christina McHale

Vandeweghe ~ Mattek-Sands ~ King ~ Hampton ~ Riske ~ Glatch ~ Brengle ~ Rogers ~ Stephens ~ Boserup ~ Davis ~ Keys ~ Lepchenko ~ Falconi ~ Chirico ~ Crawford ~ Gibbs ~ Pegula ~ Min ~ Townsend ~ Duval ~ Vickery ~ Bellis ~ Ahn

Re: Hannah Storm

She obviously doesn't know what she's talking about in terms of tennis, but at least she is very neutral and respectful to all players. The man Doug Adler commentating on the Williams sisters' doubles match was completely awful though.

I concur! Thankfully she breaks up the monotony of the constant negativity.

In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the SILENCE OF OUR FRIENDS. MLK

Re: Hannah Storm

OMG I love Hannah. I miss her dearly on the CBS morning show, she needs to come back!

Maybe tennis isn't her thing but she is very professional at what she's doing!

Good Luck Radwanska Sisters!

Sorana Cirstea - Stefanie Voegele - Michelle Larcher de Brito - Alexandra Dulgheru

Martina I will miss you!!
