What happened to these players?

-Amber Liu (got married, but is she retired or what?)
-Meilen Tu (I know she got married, and I think was injured, but is she coming back)
-Amy Frazier (did she retire)
-Ludmila Cervanova (made a one-tournament comeback where she retired and has disappeared)
-Myriam Casanova (seems like she just disappeared)
-Evgenia Linetskaya (what is her status currently)
-Sanda Mamic (I remember her coming back, but then haven't heard of her since...)

There are more that I might think of or if anyone else wants to ask, feel free to. I'm pretty curious...

My number one: Victoria Azarenka

ATP: Novak Djoković

Crazy Frenchies! Gilles Simon Alizé Cornet

Mamic has played 10 tournaments (including AO and Barcelona qualifying + Fed Cup) this year.

Casanova suffered a thyroid disease.

Re: What happened to these players?

What about Lenka Dlhopolcova?

She disapeared after RG 2002, then came back in mid 2004 and played until mid 2005 with relative success. Did she just give up?

Re: What happened to these players?

Mamic seems to be injured or semi-retired after being rather unsuccesful in challengers.

Re: What happened to these players?

Cervanova said, that she hasn´t a taste for playing tennis now, but she will make a comeback maybe...then she lost to one Bulgarian player (Germanlieva) 0:6, 3:6 in Q of 10K...end she was on a entry list in Zlin few weeks ago but she withdrew..she is coaching a young Slovak girls now

I have no idea what is with Dlhopolcova...she was very young, when she retired, but I dunno why

Re: What happened to these players?

Amber Liu went to Stanford university, and I don't think she ever came back to full-time tennis after that.
A bit off-topic, but since we're discussing retired players, at Wimbledon recently I spotted on 2 occasions Elena Tatarkova pushing a baby around in a pram. One of those times she was on her way out of the media centre (commentating for Ukrainian tv?).

I actually just met Michael Chang's brother in law last Friday!! We talked a lot about tennis...he says Amber Liu is retired now. Which is a shame, she had so much potential.

Good Luck Radwanska Sisters!
