How Much Should Venus Be Fined For Pulling Out Of Brasil?

The WTA said they would fine her today, but I think they should not be surprised when she reverts back to her 12-14 events in 2003.

Well I don't think she should be fined.

Also I think her and Serena should swap schedules it's only fair.

Serena has been getting away with playing few tournaments a year but ALL the big events, but Venus have had to settle for the smaller events (virtually no tier I's) and playing many tier II's. That's more tiring.

So it's only fair they should swap.

She should be fined in accordance to WTA Policy & Protocol, as per any player would be.

Well we will see if they both actually play Zurich like planned. If they do, I bet next year we will see them playing a lot of the same events next year.

Much as I like Venus, if she didn't pull out because of inury she should be fined if she signed a contract. I'm sure they may have sold more tickets to the event just because she was appearing and that would be unfair to the fans who wanted to see her.

I think she will pull back on events next year also because her heart doesn't seem to be in to playing a lot of tournaments.

I think she should fine, but at the same time I would love to see her revert back to 14-15 events a year. I really think that by her playing too much is not good for her, she staggered her way to US open final and then got completely overwhelmed by a much fresher Serena.

Also, I relaise the trend that Serena got to play all those tier 1, maybe they can sit down and divide those fairly

I agree Serena give Venus some the Teir Is in 2003 or Venus should enter anyway and surprise Serena and beat her badly. I'm sick of Serena beating Venus and the day Venus beats Serena, I will pop a bottle of champagne!!

No I think Venus will get Serena this next time and would have done it if she didnt hurt her finger. They could meet in Zurich or LA. I will be going to LA so maybe I will witness Venus beat up on Serena in person. 6-0, 6-0 would be great!

She pulled out

I think she might be finned but she shouldn't really cos she pulled out before the event started.but if she isn't injured then she should.

I dont think she should be fined at all considering the WTA is already milking Venus and Serena along with Anna Kournkova all they can. Venus can't carry the tour by herself. I think they are still mad bc she wouldnt wear that tacky black patch on her dress. Also the investigatoion of her injury last fall was silly. They need to get a life.

$1.50. Then I hope the WTA uses the money to buy itself a clue.
