A Pete / Andre Final...

Would be wonderful for American Mens tennis. Two "old timers" battling it out in the biggest grand slam of them all...GO ANDRE, beat the Aussie's ass...

I really want a Pete and Andre with Pete winning. C'mon...Pete needs a title really bad. And he needs this one to retire. C'mon Pete...this is your retirement bonus...take it. I like Agassi way more than Pete mind you, but I feel sorry for Pete these days.

LOL - look how deep ATP is with two old timers making it to a slam final.

Anyways, I like both andre and pete, and feel like this will be the last time they will make it too the final. SO, I don't know who to root for this time.

Well, Let the better player win.

Hmm, going by what the tennis press has been saying, then they would have to say this match is bad for tennis. After all, one of their knocks against a Williams/Williams final is that the crowd doesn't know who to root for; they can't take sides.

Well, as I recall from last year's USO, the crowds were unable to decide who to root for when Pete played Andre. So therefore, following tennis writer logic, they must think this is a bad final.

In the computer arena, we call this G-I-G-O.
Congrats to Pete and Andre! They showed mental toughness this tourney, which gave them a huge advantage.

And thanks for putting tennis writers on the spot.

I find the double-all American thing mildly amusing, but what I'm REALLY looking forward to is how Wertheim's going to deal with his previous "marriage kills your career" hypothesis

Reason is poor propaganda when opposed by the yammering, unceasing lies of shrewd and evil and self-serving men.
