Roland Garros
Jankovic gets a rankings bump
"number one player in the world but seeded number 5 here"
"no.5 seed and no. 1 player in the world is through"
"Haha, someone please tell Fred that seeds and ranks are the same at Roland Garros. He is still calling Jankovic the no.1 in the world."
"And the set goes to the number 1 player, seeded number 5 here."
""It must be such a great experience for young Elena Rybarikova to play the #1 in the world and No. 5 seed here."
"it must be nice hearing yourself introduced as the world number 1"

Sveta, the dominant frontrunner! - guest appearance by Nicole Pratt, so really a 'Prattism' but I had to mention it anyway
"After Kuznetsova lost to Serena in the AO 09, blowing a big lead, she was asked if 'Kuznetsova has a reputation for blowing leads?' and Pratt said 'No, I don't think so.'"

Didn't play like that in the 'good ole days'...
"When Diatchenko/Johansson were at 6-6 in the third set the other day, he thought it was a third set TB"
"When one of the girls had game point at 5*-6 in the THIRD SET, he said, "to send it into a tiebreak."

Those Eastern European pronunciations are hard for everyone, Fred!
"He called Djokovic "Djokovike" and then something else really random"
"Oh, and also his picks for the tournament are 'Young Wozniacki and Azarenko'"

Julie Groth...

BombShEelLL PREDICTIONS!
"He said "I know this is a long shot, but I think Rafa will win" or something like that"
"When Bernard Tomic was down 6-1 2-2 in the second set, Fred said...........'look out for an upset there'"

Keeping us updated with the latest rule changes!
"they play best of five in slams now."

If you're from Eastern Europe and you're female, you're Elena. Unless you're Jarmila, then you're Julie. - Wally Masur joins Fred here to create a Fredism-Masurism collaboration!
"He called Magdalena Rybarikova "Elena Rybarikova"...mind u the other day Masur called Dushevina "Elena Dushevina""
"It must be such a great experience for young Elena Rybarikova to play the #1 in the world and No. 5 seed here. "

A Canuck & a Dane, the Wozniacki sisters
"before when they showed wozniak's score he said "this is wozniak, there's a couple of wozniacki's but this is wozniak who is actually from canada"

Sound it out, Fred! 'FER-NAN-DO' ≠ 'FRAN-CIS-CO'
"fernando gonzalez is now francisco gonzalez"
"Oh yeah francisco ! I thought i misheard that."

What's that letter there, hmm, I'll just make it an 'H'
"When the result of Czink df. Bammer was brought up, he said 'Sybille Hammer'"

The Master of Segways
"You can't slide on hard, and it's even harder to slide on clay...BUT it's ALL Roger Federer now!"

Wozniacki to win the tournament!!!! But which Wozniacki, and which tournament...
"My pick for Wozniacki is getting better"
"He also says that Wozniacki is his pick to win..... but then covers himself by saying, maybe not this year but in the next 18 mths. Surely a pick is your pick to win the current tournament?"

Lu Yen-Hsun from... ... ... Asia?
"he saw the flag of taiwan next to yen-hsun lu's name and just guessed it was thailand instead because he didn't recognise it"
"he said taiwan, and then said no that's probably thailand...like no player could come from taiwan or it didn't even exist or something"

Just distract them by calling her 'The Burrito', Fred. They won't even realise you got her country wrong then!
"michelle larcher del brito from Colombia"

Russazakhstanoland is such a dominant force in women's tennis right now!
"there were 14 russian women in the main draw here, and that's just russia, that's not including kazakhstan, or uzbekistan, or poland"

Tommy Haas from Jeremy-Jeremy-Jeremy ERROR! ERROR! ERROR! REBOOTING IN 3, 2, 1...
"And we're gonna look at another match, Tommy Haas from Jeremy-jeremy *takes a break*...Germany. Versing Jeremy Chardy from france."

Giddy up, Freddie!
"when azarenka was warming up against safina,
he goes 'azarenko's wearing... what do you call them? jodhpurs?'
and the lady commentator goes 'leggings, fred, they're called leggings... do you have any?'"

Wimbledon
Honestly, Fred, do you not care about women's tennis that much that you DON'T EVEN HEAR WHO WINS THE MAJORS?
"He just said: Maria played great to win Wimbledon in 2004. Too bad she hasn't been able to repeat that. It's her only grand slam win."

Freddie, most smiley faces I've seen have two eyes and aren't upside down...
"During Djokovic's match, the camera showed a closeup on his racquet and you could see the vibration dampener quite clearly. It was the HEAD symbol, but Fred said, 'A very happy face there!' as if it was a smiley face."

He also says that Wozniacki is his pick to win..... but then covers himself by saying, maybe not this year but in the next 18 mths. Surely a pick is your pick to win the current tournament? Last night Fred saw his first Federbear - "look at that doll" he said. I mean, Federbear has been around tournaments for at least 2 years....

Fred helped Dementieva out a bit when she was younger...

Thats prolly why everyone is an Elena!

Any Dementieva fan is alright with me... even when they are becoming a bit senile !
