Awesome

She is back Sending a warning to the locker room, so controlled and within herself and still dealt a bagel to a good clay courter!

didn't see the match, but I doubt a win over a 35 year old is sending any message...but congrats on the win

Re: FO R2: Serena Williams [2] d Virginia Ruano Pascual 6-2 6-0

Painful to watch in the end The first set was closer than the scoreline especially those first 5-6 games. I love Vivi's game, she's so cute, show us how it's done in the doubles Vivi!

Well done Serena. Don't know if this says anything much about her form as Vivi was barely able to get into the points but she wasen't making silly errors which is a good sign.

serena played her game for the first time in months. true. vrp didn't have a lot of weapons, however, many positives in serena's body language.

looks like she's ready for a run.

Great match from Serena today.
No strapping on the knee...good sign.

She was very aggressive, and yes, V Ruano had nothing to hurt her with. Serena was dominating the rallies and hitting lots of winners off both sides. Also her serve was very accurate and her movement was very strong.

Great sign! Keep it up.

Serena

Vivi She still produced some flair and some nice touches but she posed no consistent threat to Serena.

Very good match from Serena. VRP would be awesome for hitting practice!

Best match from Serena since Australian Open, me thinks.
