I am just surprised and stunned at the level of animosity directed at the sisters by some posters. Do you know that someone objected to serena walking a few feet in front of lindsay on the way on to the court because it disrespected lindsay?!

How paranoid and absurd can some people get? People like that would only be satisfied if Serena carried Miss Davenport's raket bag onto the court five steps behind her with a glass of lemonade and a fan to fan her during change overs--if you get my meaning.

what gets me most is that some posters have problems when the players themselves do not? Davenport didn't have a single problem with serena, except for her game. If you read her interview she has nothing but nice things to say when asked about serena and venus, yet some of her fans, actually one in particular, act as if serena bitched slapped lindsay on court.

who knew that someone could be so obssessed over their favorite losing a match that they would recklessly lash out at some imaginary slight that supposedly happened during the match!

Sometimes these anti williams hater scare me.

That is a shame...

Just wanted to keep an UPbeat( so to speak) thread going, so that we wouldn't get so caught up in the other stuff going down that we forgot/got away from celebrating Venus and Serena making it into the finals.

Cheering for an Exciting Three Setter Tomorrow!

Althea I was just telling myself the same thing. I am extremely happy that we can see Venus and Serena in yet another final this year. I was hoping for this the whole two weeks. So bump the tennis crowd behavior, the haters and whoever else that did not want this to happen. I have my opinions of it and we all know whats going on, so lets just get our party goods ready for tomorrow and cheer the two best tennis players in the whole wide world on for the greatest story in tennis history.

It has so far been a great year for the Sisters and the Williams family and their fans.

I will enjoy every minute of the finals tomorrow and no matter who wins go Vee I will be ecstatic.

Hello! Forget the people who cheer against the Sisters. There will always be a few of us in the crowd to give them the support they need. We were given so many glares when we screamed for Venus and Serena. I was proud to be a Venus and Serena fan. There's nothing like this new evolution of women's tennis. Nothing will stop it. By the way, you know they'll be watching tomorrow and cheering just as wildly ad they were last year. Remember the ovation Venus and Serena received when they entered the stadium. It was awesome. They can't ignore the obvious....Venus and Serena are the best players in tennis!!!!!

"They'll never win a grandslam title" LOL!
"They'll never be ranked #1" LOL!
"They'll never win a title on clay" LOL!
"All they do is hit hard" LOL!
"Venus will never win another Tier I title" LOL!
"Venus will never beat another top-5 player" LOL!
"Venus will never win another grand slam title" LOL!

I'm excited over them being in the finals again also. I really don't care what people think of Serena and Venus as long as they keep reaping their just rewards. Go ladies!
