Re: BBC/Eurosport/Sky Sports/ESPN/TTC- Etc - Coverage, Moan Thread !!
I don't really object to the BBC showing endless Murray because it's swings and roundabouts. If we didnt have a top ten player, you can just about guarantee that the appetite and audience for tennis would be around nil, and nothing would be broadcast at all until finals weekend, like it used to be.
My biggest gripe at the moment is 'Game, Set and Mats'. I find myself strangely glued to it everyday, incredulous at the poor quality of the production, wooden presenting and supposedly "unique insights" of the snaggle-toothed former champion - sample quote: "Nadal and Federer, that's a great rivalry". Thanks for that, we'd never have noticed. But perhaps they have high viewing figures, as thousands of masochists like me tune in to see exactly how embarrassed they can be for other people. Poor Anabel Croft tries to hold it together but she's not the most skilled presenter, and doesn't seem to have any help from the production team. I'm sure the camera guy was drunk(er than usual) last night, fliming from over her shoulder as she talked to Mats...
