I don't think that's a rational analysis. 6-0 6-0 means there was a huge gulf between the players: this could be because one was very weak on the day, or it could be because the other was very strong on the day, or both. Against a top-50 player, a double bagel is the strongest possible evidence of good form in the victor.
If we followed your analysis, we'd judge Safina better if she'd lost a couple of games, rather than effecting the shut-out.
