Re: Australians are 4-0 for the 1st Round of Roland Garros

I expect Aussie bagel in next round too

and I'm not even fan of Ana Ivanovic... just an objective observer who realize how perfect she is

AMAZING BELGRADE MIRACLE: In just three years (2008-2011) 5 different players born in same city reach world #1 in rankings and several GS titles and finals (WTA singles: Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic, ATP singles: Novak Djokovic, ATP doubles: Nenad Zimonjic and Daniel Nestor... with notable performances of Bojana Jovanovski, Janko Tipsarevic and Viktor Troicki which is also all three born in Belgrade)

Well done, Aussies! Why the face after Tomic's performance? I wouldn't expect a scoreline that was any different...

Re: Australians are 4-0 for the 1st Round of Roland Garros

Decent chance that at least three of these will make it through to round 3, but as discussed elsewhere, JD has a task in 2nd round versus Dementieva.

If she does somehow get over her, it will be Stosur v Dokic in round 3.

Even so, his performance was hardly embarassing... Philipp isn't Potito, and Bernard wasn't playing at home. I don't even know how much he likes clay, but he's Australian, so probably very little...

^^
I would say that he hates it.
His hard flat groundstrokes don't bode well for clay.

Well done to the girls on their opening round wins; but it's not like we haven't had similar success in the last few years.
Stosur has a bit of a toughie in R2 in the shape of Wickmayer. Sam should win but anything is possible.
Jarka too has a toughie despite being ranked higher. Her form has been a bit dodgy recently but she goes in with a good chance.
Jelena has her work cut out for her, but she was very impressive in sets 2 and 3 yesterday and Dementieva was far from impressive in her opener. Jelena is in with a shot.
Olivia I think will lose in 2. No point hyping her chances.

Point taken, but still... Kirilenko is probably a better player than KatBon at present, so the 17 year old should not be completely written off.

Still, got to feel sorry for the Poms. Zero out of three.

Yeah I didnt expect much from Tomic, so not suprised at that. But still 5 out of 6 isnt bad at all

I'd be nice to see at least 3 of them make it through to the next round as well. Dokic will have a tough much thought. Itd be great to see Stosur vs Dokic in round 3 though.

sam stosur. maria sharapova. jarmila gajdosova
dellacqua.kvitova.tomljanovic.safarova.

Luckily Dellacqua is not in the draw.

1 in 20 people has been a victim of crime. Which means that 19 out of 20 people are criminals.
