I think the reason is because they don't have any lights obviously, and at Wimbledon at night the grass probably gets too moist from the dew in the air.

It doesn't make sense to me,at all. Yes, there might be reasons but the benefits completely out way any argument against adding the lights.

Even if just for Chatrier and Lenglen, the amount spent would be completely offset by TV contracts, night session tickets perhaps, etc.

I've always thought the French with lights would be so much fun, the atmosphere would be eletric.

It takes all day for the Chatrier court to actually fill up (it's half empty until late afternoon), so why not just continue that into the evening? Sometimes the atmosphere really gets going towards the end of a day (especially on the middle Saturday) but then the last match ends yet the people are all excited and want to see more tennis.
