I use RG if I'm using initials but I call it the French Open mostly, that's the actual name of the tournament used long before Roland Garros. Roland Garros is the venue name I think.

French Open. Like Dave said, The French Open I think is the official name of the tournament and it's the one I like to use most of the time. Roland Garros sounds better though.

Up until 2 years ago I used FO, now I use RG.

TT Singles: 2014 SF: Bogota, New Braunfels. 2013 F: Las Vegas, SF: Orlando, Sibenik.
TT Doubles: 2014 W: Trnava w PinkTape. 2013 W: St Martin, Orlando, Sibenik, Charlottesville, Nantes-YEC all w Soliloque; Lexington w DJDVD.

Roland Garros is the guy's name, it's like calling the US Open, Billie-Jean King.

We call the Australian Open, Wimbledon Championships and US Open by those tournament names, not by their venue: Melbourne Park, All England Club or Flushing Meadows.
