Re: Single-handed backhand ruling in Barcelona: Carla, Francesca and Roberta in semis
Anyone remembers when it was the last time that 3 players with single-handed backhands reached semis in a WTA tournament?
I still remember Wimbledon '94 when all 4 semifinalists had one
And 3 of them had had their 30th birthday already
...winning the title the young 22 year old debutant
2004 Athens Olympics:
Gold - Henin
Silver - Mauresmo
Bronze - Molik
That's the last one I know of off the top of my head.
A single flow'r he sent me, since we met./All tenderly his messenger he chose;
Deep-hearted, pure, with scented dew still wet - One perfect rose.
I knew the language of the floweret;/'My fragile leaves,' it said, 'his heart enclose.'
Love long has taken for his amulet/One perfect rose.
Why is it no one ever sent me yet/One perfect limousine, do you suppose?
Ah no, it's always just my luck to get/One perfect rose.
