Chanda did tennis a service.

It's so important that Chanda has beaten Serena and nearly beaten Venus.

I think the fact that she did not do that with big first serves and mostly played neutral rallies and used her weapon, the forehand, moved the ball around, played short, undercut volleys and just used very smart play with depth and angles and balls that are tough to attack is very important to show the world and the other girls that NO PLAYER is unbeatable. The Williams have even said that they wish to dominate like Chrissy and Martina did once and the other girls are letting it dominate their thoughts. It's important that players like Rubin, Schnyder, Capriati, Mauresmo and a healthy Hingis play well against them.

scandal? no. boring? yes. Ask Anke Huber. Venus won? Barely. Chanda's got the game to beat her? Absolutely!

Chanda did tennis a service and the crowd was totally on her side.

Chanda did herself a service. Now she will have even more confidence when she goes up against Venus and Serena again.

The crowd is always on Venus' opponents side.....nothing new there?

Sometimes I wonder if you sit there and pray to the gods above that Venus (and Serena) lose.....you always have a quircky negative comment about them...

Truefiend, worry about Hingis, she needs you right now supporting her!

Go Venus!! Go Serena! Go Chanda!!

Maybe truefiend does not know that close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades, not tennis.

Venus won but it was a good match for Chandra Levy (if people insist on continuing to call her "Chandra" at least I will go for the full effect). This might have been the match of the tournament. Too bad is was not further along. It looked like a great match to watch.

Did anyone see it? Was Venus playing subpar or did Chandra Levy play a really great match?

Ms. Levy played terribly. It was like she was not even there...she seems dead. Poor Chandra.

A win is a win-- no ifs ands or buts about it.. Of course no player is unbeatable, but champions rise to the occasion when they have to... Chanda played well enough to lose as usual... Just my thoughts on the matter :P
