Re: Eleni Daniilidou #316
It's been 7 months, some of that time being time between seasons, so it's not yet been *that* close to a year since she returned. Some people can have long layoffs and make surprisingly quick returns to form, others really need a lot of match practice to get mentally tough again and find their best game. For a player like Eleni who 1. Doesn't have a very reliable serve at the best of times, and 2. Sometimes struggles with knowing what to do with all of the different shots she has, I'm not entirely surprised it's been a bit slower coming back. That said, considering she didn't win a match at the tail end of 2008, this year has been a much better start (albeit patchy). I'd be pretty surprised if she wasn't back in the top 100 by year end, or at least very close.
"Religion has actually convinced people that there is an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. Any if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time!
But he loves you."
