lets talk about men

i was watching tim henman the other day and i thought, he was actually pretty good. why he hasnt even reached a slam final?then i pretty much decided that in the field out there, he has to be the best player without a slam title.

I think that Alex Corretja, or Marcelo Rios are the best male players without slam titles.

Rios then Corretja I guess - Henman comes after them for me..

I guess you mean out of the vets? Cause I think that a Haas or Ferrero has more than Tim -..

He never won WImbledon cause there is always one person who is one better... always seems to lose the eventual champ.

But he still has chances.

and come on, if people can talk about wta on atpworld, that except the reverse

alex can pretty much only play on clay, think thats his preference though not necessarily true. rios and haas are good. i guess a serve-n-volley game is more impressive nowadays.
anyway, a lot of people dont like tim on this board. i am just trying to be fair. he hasnt really done anything.

IN Alex' defense he has won Indians Wells, the end of year championships in 1998 on in door hardcourt, and reached the quarters at the US Open (where he should have beat Pete).

His decline in the last couple years, with the exception of Roland Garros, may fool one into think otherwise though.

I think Tim's problem is his pysch and lack of a major weapon.

His serve is good, but not among the best. His volleys' are good, but not the best. His positioning and movement at the net is good, but he can be passed.

You get the idea

That said about Tim, I do beleive that if he just played the match of his life to get over that last hump, he could win WImbledon..

He won two tournaments this year, beat Pete Sampras on grass, is currently ranked in the top 20, & will bagel Roddick today.

Amen to what Megan said

Though I do put Haas as better than Ferrero - his game is more complete. He just does it all

Federer is up there too, thought recent results may make one think otherwise.
