European blackout of IW SF's

What is going on with coverage of WTA USA events in Europe? It's been getting worse and worse for a couple years now. I remember in 05/06 we used to get pretty good coverage, but it's been getting less and less.

It seems to be a USA thing though, as Eurosport showed a lot of Montreal last year.

Now there's no coverage of the IW SF's, not even on the subscription Eurosport player.

Is there some kind of turf war going on?

I was thinking the same thing while checking the TV schedule. No WTA scheduled.

some WTA SF on Saturday night. It is such a joke that they can't air both SF.

Re: European blackout of IW SF's

the laughable thing is IW schedule the semi's early for european viewers.

get used to it people the WTA is becoming less and less popular, which will equal less coverage.

Replays of football matches are more interesting apparently. Eurosport becomes more of a joke with every passing year.

Re: European blackout of IW SF's

It is really bad, coverage has been getting worse and worse. For years they've been talking about enhanced TV schedules, but in fact it's been getting a lot worse and less... Also, it is less and less live-matches, mostly just repeats. Too bad.

Re: European blackout of IW SF's

First WTA cancels several big events like Antwerp, Berlin, Zurich with great coverage during whole week and the events which are broadcasted rarely have live coverage for more than one quarterfinal and often only a recoverage of one semifinal hours later.

The new roadmap definitely means less live tennis especially for Europe.

The TV scheduling was out long before the first ball was struck at IW, don't kid yourself, no one is greater than the tour itself.

Rena- a tennis great! 22 at striking distance.

Re: European blackout of IW SF's

They have shown all night matches on the ES players, so i think they show the Ana SF match tonight, and again tomorrow delayed.

They should have played at 11:00 as ES has Live boxing on tonight...
