Do you think the roadmap is hurting rather than helping? What are your complaints?

1. Serena said she is tired and hurt.
2. Serena is gonna play more than ever in her career.
3. The number of withdrawls are not declining.
4. It's sort of like the tour is already pre planning your schedule.
6. Players might not have the urge to win as much ie. Aggie.

Hurts: Serena, Jankovic, Radwanska and probably some other players

But i'm jsut concerned about Serena, I don't want her to overplay and injure herself.

Serena wasn't forced to play Paris and Sydney

It was her choice

Anastasia Myskina

Radwanska - S. Williams - V. Williams - Kerber

I like it. Maybe we'll have some rivalries finally. Top half of Dubai was good for women's tennis. Bottom half, too, until the semis!

I hate the idea of mandatory tournaments. I hate the whole revamping. Tennis is a conservative sport and should remain so. A lot of tournaments have disappeared : Antwerp, San Diego, Berlin, Hamburg, Zurich, Amelia Island etc. And that is very sad. They tell us that they have no money to make them continue, but I don't believe them. Those tournaments have been forced to shut down with the emergence of Doha/Dubai and China.

Re: Do you think the roadmap is hurting rather than helping? What are your complaints

Point of new Roadmap is not to forced elite players to play MORE tournaments, but to play SAME tournaments!

Dubai is "Premium-5" tournament which is way less level than GS or some of 4 new mandatory - but still we see 9 of current TOP10 players this week! That's never happen before in tier-I history (except in Miami) so even with some shocking upsets we still see some really high-level match-ups like All-Williams, Venus/Elena and Serena/Ana. For example, Serena Williams OR Ana Ivanovic played at 7 of last 9 Grand Slam finals but not played any time in that period before yesterday! Major reason why Serena and Ana not face each other in whole 2007 and 2008 is because they shape and draws at slams is always in opposition last two seasons AND BECAUSE THEY SIMPLE SO RARE PLAYED AT SAME OTHER TOURNAMENT! In ATP that situation between players like Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Murray, Roddick, Davydenko... is simple not possible because they all plays at least 13 SAME tournaments (all together)! Now we finally in WTA have something like this (New_Mandatory_x4 + Premium5_x5 is pretty similar with 9 ATP Masters mandatory events) so we will see much more often great WTA match-ups than ever before!

That's why I'm Big supporter of New Roadmap since first rumors about "big changes".

and I'm not even fan of Ana Ivanovic... just an objective observer who realize how perfect she is

AMAZING BELGRADE MIRACLE: In just three years (2008-2011) 5 different players born in same city reach world #1 in rankings and several GS titles and finals (WTA singles: Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic, ATP singles: Novak Djokovic, ATP doubles: Nenad Zimonjic and Daniel Nestor... with notable performances of Bojana Jovanovski, Janko Tipsarevic and Viktor Troicki which is also all three born in Belgrade)

All professional athletes are always tired and hurt. The greatest learn to recover though.

I love the fact that Serena has already played FOUR tournaments this year. That's incredible!

Wrong.

Serena has to meet requirements of being a Top 10 player and those requirements include playing 2 of the "600/700K" tournaments. She already fulfilled that requirement by playing Sydney and Paris.

But! She is signed up for Stanford later in the year as well. So that's 3. So you have a point, she needed to do only two of those three.

I think the roadmap is working -- so far.

We have seen marquee matchups and high quality ones at that! This is great for the tour. Now all we need is Sharapova back, Ivanovic with a brain, and Sveta/Jelena to screw their heads back on.

Amelie playing at a Paris Indoors level year round would be fantastic. Davenport/Capriati/Pierce returns wouldn't be bad, too.

Dubai had the entire Top 10 in the field. I can't remember that happening outside of a slam in a long time!

It's still very early. With Sharapova expected back and a possible competition for #1, it looks like the WTA could have a good run these next few months

The most wasted of all days is one without laughter....
Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there

What the road man needs is some personality. Until the ladies start trash talking each other in the media to create some controversey. It's gonna be the same ole same ole.

Never chase love, affection or attention. If it isn't given to you freely by another person, then it isn't worth having.

Gasp! You're forgetting the fabulous No. 9! See my avatar.

By the way, I forget her name. Who is that again?
