"The Series Doesn't Start Until the Home Team Loses a Game"

A basketball coach named Pat Riley made that observation. His point being that in professional basketball, where home court advantage is greater than in almost any other sport, no matter what's actually happening, it doesn't matter unless the team at home loses. If that doesn't happening, the home team always, always wins the series.

Which brings us to OZ.

This tournament is nothing, but entertainment until one of four players lose.
Venus Williams
Serena Williams
Jelena Jankovic
Elena Dementieva
I could add in Safina, Ivanovic or Kuznetsova but it doesn't change the fundamental equation.

Jelena Jankovic HAS to make the semis, if her ranking means anything. She's FAR better than anyone she'll face until the final, but we have to factor in that the Safin(a) genetics allow for a ridiculously increased in level of play.

On the other side, Venus, Serena, Dementiva have one the last two slams, the Olympics, the YEC and the last two tournaments between them.

So, until one of those four players lose, this thing is an exo.

Proud to be an American
Not blind. Not uninformed. We are party to atrocities. But the response of the world after 9/11 is worth noting. Even our most dire enemies offered aid. We should all be so lucky.

I really don't get the comparison on any level. To be honest, I don't think there is one.

I think you could draw a comparison from the direct quote and holding/breaking serve. The match/set doesn't start until serve is broken or there is a mini-break in a tiebreak.

I don't get where you get your theory, though it could be true, from in relation to this quote.

I know just--just what you are--ah-ah.

I like the way that you taste, when you're all up in my face.
