Basically she's decided to end the collaboration with Loic and Michel Franco (physio) and will announnce her new 'team' for 2009 in the coming weeks. She is, in the meantime, is scheduled to play Moscow, Zurich, Linz or Luxembourg.
Well done Amélie, Loic has guided you to two Grand Slams but I feel this is definitely the right move! Good luck!
I was just relieved to hear there was a new team coming in. It's sad to see Loic go, but I am very excited actually to see what her new team will bring. And Glad Amelie is determined to keep trying with her Tennis.
Radical decision but expected and much needed one.Amelie has still the game and the physical abilities to have great results imo so I hope she can get it together mentally and will have some good years before call it a day.
There was a thread on this a little before or after Tokyo
I think that thread was just about that Loic wasn't going to be with her for the rest of the year but the plan was they would re-assess everything at the end of the year & decide whether to continue together or not. I think this news, of a definite split, is new today!
I can't find the info on her site. Is this a new announcement, or the one that was made a week or two ago? Because in that one, she said they were parting for the rest of the year, and she may or may not resume with them next year. Is it definite now?
