VOLLEY and DROPSHOT

And why? Because i love doubles, and my favourite style in singles is service - volley.
And double-handed backhand winner down the line too
And BACKHAND (DROPSHOT) VOLLEY is just fantastic shot

I LOVE TENNIS.

You are so right its is imo the best service action in the game today, i don't know of any other player with as great action that generates so much speed, power and pace through the air, her second serve is also amazing it gets so much kick, and gets her loads of free points. Its a service action that should be taught, its easy, fluid and gets the job done.

Yeah but they are great when someone gets one up, over and in behind them, it a great shot too because man you have to know how high to get it up and then to make sure it is in behind them. Someone Serena always plays her lob of balance but manages to get them in, who do you think has a great lob?

I love the forehand down the line or inside out hit with lots of power. It's also my favorite shot when playing.

JH has a really great lob. QF to Winning the USO last year she showed some amazing, amazing lobs...I remember her getting one over Venus that was just stunning. Also, of course great lob to finish off the tournament.

My favorite shot to play is an inside out forehand or a running down the line forehand, and a drop volley.

But I gotta say, I LOVE seeing running down the line backhands.

Re: Favourite shot in tennis & why

The 1hbh is a rare thing these days. something Henin was known for and its was a great shot too.

I love when the opponent is playing a passing shot and the player comes in and slams the volley down deep, amazing almost ripping a sure fire winner away from them

Re: Favourite shot in tennis & why

My favourite shot without doubt is the slice. When I see a slice, hit on grass, that is hit so low that the only point it is actually above the height of the net is the actual moment it passes over the net and then it bounces so low it hardly rises more than an inch or two off the grass and then on top of all that, I can see it rotating with ridiculous underspin as well, that, for me, is a thing of true beauty. When I see a shot like that I suddenly find myself with a huge grin on my face that I can't get rid off for several minutes.

(Yes that's why I'm a Santoro fan and a Niculescu fan as well.)
