Top 10 Best Calender Year of Open Era (1968-2008)?

Is Steffi Graf's 1988 Golden Slam the best calender year in history?
How about other years? Any other year or player who has accomplished what Steffi did or that is close to Steffi's?

I'm sure Navratilova and Evert have a couple.

Hingis' 1997, Serena's 2002, Venus' 2000. Steffi probably has three or four.

Let them eat cake.

Nav had the best record in a year, right? And she won 6 grand slams in a row. I think that was 84 but I'm not sure. Graf's 93 was really good too. Monica's 92 was really good.

I think a player would have to win 3 of the season's grand slams to qualify for top 10 seasons. Justine's 2007 wasn't in the same league for me, despite her high winning percentage, because she "only" won two slams (and the fact that she lost to Bartoli really hurt her in my book.)

Romney/Ryan 2012

Monica's '91 season she went undefeated in GS and YEC as well as reached the finals of every tournament she entered.

Hingis in '97 won 12 tournaments. That's insane, especially considering she was 16.

FUCK YOU, SEWTA.
