Thumbs up Thanks to god, WTA Strasbourg event is not dead !

I was so pissed off when i learned tha WTA Strasbourg event would be erased from the 2009 calendar!
But the French federation bought the event, and thankfully, it will remain in Strasbourg!

I'm so delighted, I'll manage to prepare others reports, and hopefully I'll chat a bit with players like this year!

good news!

But I've also read that the federation may change her decision after the 2009 edition and move the event in another french town (Bordeaux???)

Really good news !

This event wouldn't be moved to another french town. Strasbourg is a really nice city.

I hope and I think FFT will give to young promising french girls her chances in MD. Anyways girls having good relationships with FFT will have better chances to have one than other girls.

Mathilde Johansson

Irena Pavlovic

Kristina Mladenovic

its always sad to lose any event, as it will always be the local event for someone. so its great strasbourg is staying, i don't want to lose any tournaments. the closest tournament to me nottingham is not happening next year which is annoying.

So it was the French Federation who saved the tourney and not god?
