A strange little fact about the williams sisters

I just noticed that although they are in a perpetual state of injury, they have both managed to hang around longer than all of their (successful) contemporaries.

-Davenport (soon)
-Mauresmo (looking like it at least)

It's surprising to me that they have managed to outlast all of the main rivals of their generation mostly because of the injuries and how Richard Williams always said they would be gone by 25 or 26.

Re: A strange little fact about the williams sisters

You say that as if they are more injured than Clijsters or Davenport have been, or as if it's not a shoulder injury that ended Capriati's career. I, personally, wouldn't consider them to be anymore regularly injured than any of the other top players of their age or older mentioned here. I think those who think that S and V's outside interests are validated now that those who played more consistently like Henin and Clijsters have gone as were breaks for body and mind, have more of a point

Lindsay Davenport

Elena Bovina | Anastasia Myskina | Flavia Pennetta
Fernando Verdasco | Tommy Haas

Q. Give us an update on the kid.
A. Are you serious?
