US Doubles Teams for Olympics?

During the coverage of the mixed doubles semi final between Liezel Huber/Jamie Murray and Sam Stosur/Bob Bryan they said that Venus and Serena and Huber and Lindsay would be the doubles teams for the Olympics.
Can anyone confirm this? Who decided that and when was it decided? What about Lisa Raymond? Did she offer to give her place to either Lindsay or Huber?
Sorry if that's old news, thought it was worth posting...

Yes, this is true. Check the Olympics Doubles thread in the Doubles Forum.

If Lindsay cant play.. what will happen? I can't imagine Huber and Lisa playing together.

I always wanted to be somebody. If I made it, it's half because I was game enough to take a lot of punishment along the way and half because there were a lot of people who cared enough to help me.

Re: US Doubles Teams for Olympics?

Does Huber play Fed Cup for the US? If not, her spot should have gone to Lisa IMO.
